Hi, I'm Matt. Joycast is my studio. I came up through music and creative technology: a degree, then a few years running the technical side of a college recording studio. Over lockdown I started releasing videos of my own.
Cleaning up audio for freelance clients slowly turned into editing whole shows. What I kept hearing was that people wanted to press record and get back a finished episode that looked like them, without having to learn how to produce it.
Because I started in audio, I treat the sound as seriously as the picture. Every voice gets cleaned and levelled. The cameras are matched so episode forty looks like episode four. And the intro is built from the best thing anyone said in the room.
